WWE Monday Night Raw – 08/12/19 (Results)

The following are the results of the August 12th, 2019 edition of Monday Night Raw, that emanated live from Toronto, Ontario, Canada:

1. Segment: New WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins comes out to open Monday Night Raw. He is still reeling from last night’s battle with Lesnar, praising him for the Beast that he is. He acknowledges the fans for standing behind him and pushing for him when he felt he had nothing left in the tank. Out comes AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as The OC and interrupt Rollins. AJ says that he just wanted to congratulate Seth on his win. He challenges him to a match so he can prove that he is and always be a better champion than Rollins.

2. Segment: The Street Profits cut a promo backstage regarding Rollins and how he is The Man for slaying the beast Brock Lesnar. Sami Zayn interrupts and mocks them for pandering to fans much like Rollins ‘burning it down’, Becky Lynch being ‘The Man’ among others. The Street Profits mention Samoa Joe and Zayn begins to berate him unbeknownst to Zayn that Joe was stabding behind him the entire time.

3. Samoa Joe defeated Sami Zayn in under two minutes after he chokes out Zayn with the Kokina Cluth submission hold.

4. Segment: After the match, Samoa Joe grabs a mic and says that despite the fact he forgives Roman Reigns for his accusations and accepts his apology, the same does not apply to the WWE Universe.

5. Segment: The Miz is ringside getting ready to wrestle Dolph Ziggler, when Ziggler comes out in plain clothes, in pain from last night’s match with Goldberg. Ziggler calls Miz a coward for not fighting him at SummerSlam and instead sicked Goldberg on him instead. He also informs Miz that after many spears from Goldberg, he is not medically cleared, so “it’s too bad” that he’s not getting his match. While the Miz looks onto the crowd, Ziggler proceeds to viciously attack him before the match.

6. The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler via The Figure-Four submission hold.

7. Segment: After the match, Ziggler calls out Miz and says he’s a coward and that he’s not the better wrestler — from his family, his wife (former Women’s Champion) Maryse is, prompting Miz to enter the ring and hit Ziggler with the Skull Crushing Finale to lag him out.

8. Segment: Charly Caruso interviews “The Man” Becky Lynch. Becky sends mad respect to Natalya for her match performance last night. As a result, Nattie’s debt is paid. Becky sends out a message reminder to the entire women’s locker room — she’s coming after each and every female talent that ever did her wrong! She said debts need to be paid and so begins the cat-and-mouse game: where she comes after you and you come after her, plain and simple.

9. A promo package is aired promoting The King Of The Ring Tournament, which will kick off with next week’s Monday Night RAW!

10. Segment: Elias Samson is in the ring and says that he is tired that everytime he’s out there to sing, he’s interrupted. He was interrupted by Edge last night, and says it’s all to common now. So to get it out of the way, he welcomes the interruption a couple times. To his surprise no one comes out so he proceeds to address the audience so he can begin to sing. Ricochet comes out and interrupts Elias and tells him the reason he is always interrupted is because he sucks! Elias angrily challenges Ricochet to a match.

11. Ricochet defeats Elias with an inverted drop pinning combination. Elias’ left shoulder was not on the canvas as he was pinned, but the referee’s view was obstructed and made the count regardless. Elias was upset and argued with the official before storming off angry to the ramp.

12. Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas defeated Rey Mysterio in a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Match when he scored the first fall with assistance from Zelina holding his foot on the ropes – and – countered Rey’s frog splash with his knees, setting up his Hammerlock DDT finisher for the clean sweep.

12. Michael Cole welcomes Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin live via satellite. Austin praises Rollins’ performance last night and respects him for diggin’ deep and discovering who Rollins really is. Cole plugs Austin’s new show, “Staright Up Steve Austin”, premiering next on the USA Network.

13. Segment: A distraught Rey Mysterio is interviewed by Charly Caruso and talks about his back-to-back loss to Andrade. You can visibly see his disappointment and says he feels he left everyone including his family down.

14. Segment: The Street Profits cut a promo on Rey saying to keep his head up, that he’s a Legend and remind to ‘Booyaka, Booyaka’! They proceed to pump and hype up the WWE Women’s tag team match between Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross against The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane.

15. Segment: Drew McIntyre is with Kayla Braxton and cuts a promo on Cedric Alexander and that his fairy tale of thinking he can best and humiliate him will be over when he crushes him in his match tonite.

16. Drew McIntyre defeated Cedric Alexander via The Claymore Kick in a hard-fought, back-and-forth match.

17. Segment: The OC is backstage and discuss Styles match tonight with Rollins. Anderson and Gallows praise Rollins for doing the unthinkable twice: beating Brock Lesnar. AJ counters saying he also got close to beating Lesnar. But he only got one chance, while Rollins got kept getting chances. Styles hopes to end that tonite as he beats Rollins and proves he’s the better champion.

18. Segment: Brock Lesnar’s advocate, Paul Heyman, is seeing walking backstage on his way to his client’s dressing room.

19. Segment: Charly Caruso is outside Brock Lesnar’s locker room and informs us that Heyman will be granting an interview later on tonite.

20. “The Glorious One” Bobby Roode defeats No Way Jose with the Glorious DDT.

21. Segment: Charly Caruso is standing by with Heyman. Heyman mocks Caruso for her using the phrase ‘history was made last night’, prompting him to question her journalistic acumen. Heyman retorts on the fact that earlier today, WWE Officials have stated that his client Brock Lesnar will not be granted a “rematch” against Seth Rollins. Heyman is visibly upset and at a loss for words, so he storms off back into Lesnar’s dressing room.

22. The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) vs. Lince Dorado and Gran Metallik ends in a no-contest after R-Truth runs in with Carmella and the 24/7 title while being chased by the locker room. After a brief melee, Wilder and Dawson perform The Hart Attack finisher on R-Truth and pin him, becoming ghe first-ever co-champions! After a bit more confusion and scuffle in the ring, R-Truth ends up pinning Wilder and runs away! R-Truth is now a 12-time champion! Backstage, R-Truth and Carmella are celebrating the win when Elias whacks him with a guitar and gets the win to becomes a 3-time champion!!!

23. Segment: Natalya comes out with a sling for her injured elbow from last night’s match. She says she gave it her all against Becky Lynch. She lost and Becky was the better woman but vows that they will meet again. Natalya also begins talking about how she’ll be getting an MRI to check her elbow and that today was the 1-year anniversary of her father, the late great Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, passing away. She had a dream where he said he was proud of her! Sasha Banks’ music hits and she makes her way to the arena to a thunderous ovation! As she makes her way to the ring, she greets Natalya and gives her a hug — only to turn heel and viciously attack Natalya and injure her arm! Becky Lynch comes out to Natalya’s aid and gets into a brawl with Sasha. Sasha eventually gets the upper hand and pummels her with multiple chair shots to her back, as a bunch of referee and officials try to keep her at bay while the injured Becky and Natalya are both tended to.

24. The Viking Raiders defeat two talent enhancement locals in a squash match.

25. Charly Caruso is backstage with new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross as they prepare for their match next. Bliss says that it’s Nikki and her versus the world so expect amazing things to happen.

26. Michael Cole announces that on Friday, October 4th is the 20th Anniversary of WWE Smackdown Live as they debut on Fox!

27. RAW Womens Tag Team Match: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross defeat The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) when Bliss pins Sane after Twisted Bliss to retain. Paige was not in attendance but a video is displayed where she apologizes for not being there live as she’ll be having neck surgery but was confident that The Kabuki Warriors will bring home the tag titles.

28. Champion vs. Champion match: Seth Rollins defeats AJ Styles by disqualification after Anderson and Gallows interfere in the match. During the match, Anderson and Gallows kept interfering on AJ’s behalf and were ordered by the referee to head to the back. After the match, The OC proceeded to beat and gang up on Rollins until Ricochet came out to make a save. After a quick offense, he was taken out by Anderson and Gallows. Rollins tried to fight back but was overpowered three on one until Braun Strowman’s music hits! The Monster Among Men came out to loud cheers and proceeded to pounce on all members of The OC, while the crowd chanted “Get these hands! Get these hands!” As The Oc retreated up the ramp, Strowman handed Rollins the title and stood tall alongside Ricochet in the ring as the show went off the air.
