The world of DC is getting a bit crazy with Supergirl AKA Kara Zor-El becoming the final member of the Batman Who Laughs Secret Six. Besides her new heavy metal costume, our favorite Girl of Steel is not in her right mind. With her reign of terror beginning by destroying Braniac-1 she continues her rampage for… good?
That’s right all our infected Kara is still on a weird cusp of the toxin. For it not being specifically made for her, she has a strange sense of right and wrong in this issue. A bit rougher around the edges she continues to save anyone in need but scares all near her! The bus full of children she saves is mortified by her handling of the situation as well as frightened by the sight of her. She then makes her way to the truck driver that caused the crash, and was ready to deal upon a justice that would create a villain. But luckily Batman and Superman make it in time to dissolve the situation. A bit that is, Clark and Bruce have little luck getting through to Supergirl. As she just proceeds to beat the two up for getting in her way. Now with knowing Kara hasn’t fully succumb to the infection, Batman deduces she can be the catalyst to saving the others they just need time and someone who can contain the mighty kryptonian. ?
Enter Diana the Wonder Woman! This is the teaser we got from the cover art right away two powerhouses ready to clash! And the fight goes about the way u think. Diana is still trying to get through to Kara good nature. But the infection has enough hold to land a sucker punch on Wonder Woman. And so far a nice little battle happens. The fight sequence couldn’t be complete without an appearance of the LASSO OF TRUTH! While Diana has the lasso wrapped around Kara we begin to see a glimpse of her old self. So we wait to see if this is the key to unlocking our Supergirl persona. But if we know anything it won’t be that easy!
Overall a solid issue when your reading the entirety of the arc. The secret six storyline is a read most of you are most likely reading anyway. So checking out the tie-ins would be a cool addition to your reading list.
