All Elite Wrestling had its first PPV this past Saturday, May 25, 2019 and emanating from a jam-packed crowd from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Titled Double or Nothing, the new promotion featured nine (9) spectacular mix of singles and tag team matches.

Match Card Results:

  • Casino (Battle) Royale (Buy-In Pre-Show/#1 Contender Match) — Winner: Hangman Adam Page
  • Kip Sabian defeated Sammy Guervara (Buy-In Pre-Show)
  • So-Cal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) defeated Strong Hearts (Cima, T-Hawk, and Lindaman from China’s OWE)(Six-Match Tag Team Match)
  • Dr. Britt Baker defeated Nyla Rose, Kylie Rae and Awesome Kong(Fatal 4-Way)
  • The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) defeated Angelico & Jack Evans(Tag Team Match)
  • Hikaru Shida, Riho, & Ryo Mizunami defeated Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, & Emi Sakura(Six-Woman Tag Team Match)
  • Cody defeated Dustin Rhodes(Brother vs. Brother Singles Match)
  • The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) defeated The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix)(For The AAA Tag Team Championships)
  • Chris Jericho defeated Kenny Omega – (#1 Contender Match for the AEW Championship)

Highlights:

Legendary Hall Of Famer, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, made an appearance and had the honor of unveiling the new AEW Championship belt.

Awesome Kong made an unannounced, surprise appearance in the women’s Fatal 4-Way match, confirming that she had signed with the company.

The show closed out with a surprise appearance by Jon Moxley (former WWE superstar Dean Ambrose) as he invaded and attacked Jericho, Omega, referees…basically everyone in the ring. This action ultimately confirmed that Moxley had also signed with AEW.
