Aladdin’s first official trailer has finally arrived and some of our wishes were finally granted. Counting on one official teaser trailer and one official special look coming during the Grammy Awards, fans were not too hopeful about this film. The biggest gripes? Will Smith as Genie and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. A case can be made about Power Ranger’s star Naomi Scott but its nothing that need that much attention. Check out the trailer below:

Enjoyed the trailer? So did we! As I mentioned earlier, after one teaser and one special look, fans wanted Disney to deliver something that would sell them on the film and get them to theaters and Disney did just that.

We see Mena Massaoud’s Aladdin in action and with some dialog which is great. I think he will do well in the role. We also get Marwan Kenzari’s Jafar, which in my honest opinion could’ve been cast better (don’t ask me for a better option, I’ll leave that to you), but he delivers in what little we see of him and his parrot, Iago. I think Iago, Abu and Rajah will be some scene stealers and crowd pleasers to say the least.

We also get some classic Aladdin musical moments like Princess Jasmine on the Magic Carpet performing A Whole New World alongside Aladdin. We get a huge glimpse of Will Smith’s Genie’s number inside the Cave of Wonders and the song Friend Like Me.

Speaking of Will Smith and the Genie, we finally get him more vivid and in color and see him in all his magical glory and of course his trickiness when it comes to granting Aladdin’s wishes. Seeing him in action now, has sure pleased the fans based on their social media reactions.

Overall it’ll be a fun ride and we can’t wait to see it!

Aladdin magically appears in theaters on May 24, 2019 and is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Mena Massaoud, Namoi Scott and Will Smith.
