Pokemon‘s first ever live action film will be lead by Pokemon mascot, Pikachu. Detective Pikachu, starring Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is looking to shock the world this May. According to boxofficepro.com and their long range tracking, Detective Pikachu is looking at an electrifying $75 million+ opening weekend!
The social media buzz for the film has been immense since the trailer first released. With longtime fans rallying heavy support for the film. Pokemon has been a longtime fan favorite anime and gaming franchise. And whether you played or watched Pokemon since the early 90s, or just recently started playing/watching within the last 5-10 years; being a Pokemon Trainer has always been a dream of many young children. Imagining a world with real life Pokemon to catch, train, bond and battle with!
Hopefully with the success of Detective Pikachu, we’ll get a live action anime adaption of Pokemon, following Ash, Brock and Misty on their journey to become Pokemon Masters.
Pokemon Detective Pikachu Synopsis:
A young man joins forces with Detective Pikachu to unravel the mystery behind his father’s disappearance. Chasing clues through the streets of Ryme City, the dynamic duo soon discover a devious plot that poses a threat to the Pokémon universe.
