MS. MARVEL: PRODUCTION PUSHED FORWARD TO APRIL 2020, WORKING TITLE REVEALED

APRIL 2020

Kamala Khan is set to make her MCU debut alas Disney+ in the imminent future. Casting is now underway for the lead role of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. Production on the Disney+ series was initially reported to start in September 2020 but now has been pushed up to April 2020. The series will film in Atlanta under the working title “Jersey”.

Charles Murphy followed up this initial tweet with the following:

Seeing how casting is already underway, Marvel Studios should be ready to at least reveal a shortlist of actors, if not, the lead actor for the titular role. It’ll be interesting to see how the working title goes into play seeing how Kamala Khan in the comics is a New Jersey native, residing in Jersey City. One would hope that Marvel Studios would make the trip up to our playground in Jersey City, New Jersey to film Kamala’s neighborhood accurately.
