MARVEL’S RUNAWAYS TO END WITH ITS UPCOMING THIRD SEASON

Marvel’s Runaways has finally released a full=length trailer for its upcoming third season with a somewhat, unexpected, but yet expected, announcement. As revealed in passing during the trailer, Season 3 of The Runaways will indeed be it’s last. Marking the end of non-canonical Marvel Television and the end of the Jeph Loeb Marvel Era.

RUNAWAYS

This was an announcement that many fans saw looming over their heads after the cancelation of Cloak and Dagger just a while back. Seeing how Cloak and Dagger are crossing over with The Runaways, and the teased Runaways x Cloak & Dagger crossover, which was teased/unofficially announced during a Runaways panel last month at New York Comic Con. It only made sense that Runaways would also be on the chopping block.

Many fans know that Kevin Feige now controls all of Marvel, including Marvel Television. Word on the blogs was that Feige would be trimming the fat on Marvel Television to put his now MCU connected tv-shows in the forefront to finally have the entirety of the Marvel Universe connected as once promised. Runaways was well-received among fans, we included, and just like Cloak & Dagger, it was one of Marvel’s sleeper series that not many people potential in.

While unfortunate for all the cast & crew members. We can only hope to see The Runaways and Cloak & Dagger in the MCU in the very near future. Whether it’d be on Disney+ or in feature films. I’m sure both parties would be welcomed with open arms.

Marvel’s Runaways premieres December 13, exclusively on Hulu.
